About the Position
The Marketing team is seeking a passionate and results driven Customer Acquisition Manager. The Customer Acquisition Manager is a crucial role supporting the Director of Consumer Email Marketing and is essential to the development and execution for top-of-the-funnel marketing strategy for Open Road Integrated Media and its business lines. The successful candidate should enjoy working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented, and goal-driven environment. This role focuses on growing the business through the proactive acquisition and retention of customers. 


  • Manage existing customer acquisition campaigns
  • Research and pitch new opportunities for paid customer acquistion campaigns
  • Negotiate and optimize paid marketing campaigns
  • Analyze campaign effectiveness and suggest improvements to drive business growth
  • Ownership of day-to-day monitoring and reporting for top-of-the-funnel metrics used to assess the health of customer acquisition programs
  • Optimization of campaign performance over time by analyzing past performance and continually integrating the latest best practices and techniques
  • Build future projections and monitor performance to prepare regular reports to brand leadership and ensure campaigns meet stated business goals
  • Pull weekly campaign marketing reports and regularly analyze performance on KPIs including: delivery, open-rates, click-rates, and conversion-rates
  • Collaborate with multiple internal and cross functional teams on design, copy, email messaging, and develop new concepts (creative and written) for all channels that best leverage available promotional tactics techniques (e.g. budgeting, channel mix adjustments, media profile, etc).
  • Assist in the development and execution of product enhancements to optimize user base (i.e. an email opt-out “save” plan, email referral (Tell A Friend) program etc.)


  • 5+ years experience in a growth-oriented newsletter marketing role
  • Strong quantitative background
  • Capable of clearly explaining your thinking and resolving conflicts/issues with data
  • Well versed in customer acquisition and digital advertising tactics and tools
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel/Google Spreadsheets
  • Proven work experience as an Email marketing manager or Digital marketing specialist
  • Hands on experience with HTML and content management systems
  • Proficiency in marketing automation technology
  • Exceptional Excel knowledge, report creation, top-notch writing skills and familiarity drafting project and campaign briefs
  • Knowledge of SEO/SEM and Google Analytics
  • Familiarity with analytical and database tools
  • Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
  • Strong task management and multitasking skills to support multiple projects simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, economics, or business

Strongly Preferred:

  • Experience in Conversion Rate Optimization and A/B or MVT testing
  • Experience with enterprise-grade email marketing, analytics, and attribution software
