About the Position
The Open Road Editorial department is searching for an intern to work 14 to 16 hours per week for academic credit. The intern will work with the Editorial team, who primarily focus on managing Open Road’s ebook catalog and re-issuing award-winning backlist authors in ebook and POD formats. They will assist with various tasks, including: evaluating book submissions for acquisition; researching books for e-publication and reviewing agent client lists; compiling information for the production, design, and marketing teams.
The right candidate would demonstrate sincere interest in digital publishing, particularly relaunching backlist authors, and the editorial-to-production processes that make high-quality ebooks happen. Dedication, organization, and writing skills also required. The Open Road environment is fast-paced and candidates should have the ability to work independently and multitask.
**NOTE: This is a for-credit position and the successful candidate must be able to receive college credit for the internship**
