About the Position
The Open Road Editorial department is searching for an intern to work 14 -16 hours per week for academic credit. The intern will assist the Editorial team with various tasks, including: evaluating book submissions for acquisition; researching books for e-publication and reviewing agent client lists and publishing houses; compiling information for the production, design, and marketing teams.
The right candidate would demonstrate sincere interest in digital publishing, particularly relaunching backlist authors, and the editorial-to-production processes that make high-quality ebooks happen. Dedication, organization, and writing skills also required. The Open Road environment is fast-paced and candidates should have the ability to work independently and multitask.
**NOTE: This is a for-academic-credit position and the successful candidate must be able to work in our office located in the Financial District and must be eligible to receive college credit for the internship**
